I am a medical psychologist and use cognitive behavioural therapy techniques in counselling. I currently work at the Republican University Hospital and several private hospitals
My work takes into account individual needs and difficulties, and I apply schema therapy techniques, knowledge of the nervous system and various body practices. At the same time, we learn to notice the connection between thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and behaviour, thus orienting us towards change, because learning to think differently is a skill, not a given.
One of our goals in counselling may be to get to know ourselves, our reactions and our thoughts better, in other words, to move out of autopilot mode and into a more conscious life. Learning to observe and tolerate our reactions to stimuli can help us to reduce avoidance and lead a fuller life.
IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO START PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSULTING, it is useful to know that hiding intense feelings takes a lot of energy, reduces motivation and makes you withdraw into yourself. At that time, stress hormones in the body are actively causing a variety of unexplained symptoms and pains. This ignoring of inner reality destroys the sense of self, identity, identity. That’s why we can hear the words “I feel out of place”, “I’m dead inside”, “I don’t feel human”
