About me:
I am Ieva, a psychologist, I graduated from Vilnius University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and I am further developing my skills in psychodynamic psychotherapy in post-graduate studies. I provide individual psychological counselling on anxiety, panic attacks, lack of self-confidence, relationships and suicidal topics. I am mainly interested in psychodynamic therapy, but my work takes an eclectic approach and tries to see human difficulties in a variety of theoretical contexts, including cognitive ones.
In counselling, I pay close attention to feelings, the relationship between the psychologist and the client (as it often reflects the same difficulties in the outside world with other people), childhood experiences, and the relationship with parents. I believe that every action, feeling or thought we have has a meaning and purpose. That’s why, in consultations, we work together to understand the patient’s unique inner world, to bring the unknown to the level of consciousness.
The most important thing for me in counselling is to provide a safe, fully accepting atmosphere for the client. I think it’s one of the necessary conditions to open up, to share even the most difficult experiences. I’m ready to listen, to take on board any thoughts and feelings you may have and to work together to find solutions to your difficulties.
